Foodie Friday...A Bit Late

My computer crashed, and I'm just now getting back online. Sorry for the delay. Hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving!

Foodie Friday

I didn't think it was possible to live on Reeses Cups, but I'm doing it. I'm looking forward to playing with everyone after I put my book to bed. Meanwhile, here is a mosaic of past Foodie Fridays.

Foodie Friday

I'm still working on the book. Legal Eagle Laurie at http://www.bargainhuntingwithlaurie.blogspot.com has been verifying law enforcement/legal facts--she is amazing!
Today, I got my H1N1 shot and I sure hope it dulls my appetite a little. So far, it hasn't. I'm looking forward to all of the great recipes this week.
Mr.Linky awaits your recipe and blog information.

National Bookstore Day

Today is National Bookstore Day! You can visit Publishers Weekly to download bookplates to show your support of the written word and the dedicated bookstore owners and workers who bring them into our lives. For a list of participating bookstores, click
HERE or visit your favorite independent bookstore in person or on the web.
One of my favorites is That Bookstore in Blytheville, owned by Mary Gay Shipley. TBIB will take internet orders and will ship (you can trust them totally with your payment info).
Have a wonderful day, bloggers--and read a good book.

Foodie Friday

Welcome to Foodie Friday. No food from me this week, as I have been living on Breathe Easy tea and Kitkats. I should be back to full time blogging by December 1st, as my book deadline is Nov 30.

Sometimes I get close to burning out, so I putter around the house. Writing and decorating go together like potato chips and a low-carb diet--not recommended (unless you are writing about decorating, which I'm not).
But you know me, I will eat every last chip in the bag; I will decorate, even if it is to my own disadvantage.
Now I've taken down the "summer look" white stuff:

and I'm halfway to my goal of a "winter look"

Again, not recommended if you have a full time job that involves sitting in front of a laptop, eating potato chips, and not combing your hair, much less hauling rugs from the basement. I asked the men what they thought and got, "Yeah, it's nice." However, this afternoon the truth came out when Iwas majorly teased about my judicious use of red. Dr. Gollum said all that's lacking (I haven't shown All but will soon) are red lightbulbs. They won't be laughing when the temperature drops. Ha!

Hugs to all,
Michael
