It's Foodie Friday--time for another week of great recipes. Bandwith brought a "Boo" cake at Publix. We had a bit of trouble trying to separate Mr. Boo from his cardboard base (Boo's arm fell off), so I added lilies. Flowers are just the thing for trainwrecks!

Foodie Friday: Bandwith's Prime Rib

Welcome to another Foodie Friday. This week, Bandwith cooked Prime Rib.I'll let him take over and explain how he cooked it.

Bandwith's Prime Rib
Pat outside of meat with a paper towel to remove excess moisture. Brush meat with olive oil. Generously salt & pepper, adding chili powder.
Let meat come to room temperature. Grill meat for 15 minutes on each side, indirect heat.
Place in 350 degree oven for 45 minutes or until core temperature reaches 130 degrees.
Remove from oven. Let meat "rest" ten minutes. Carve.

Foodie Friday: Cookies Plus a Trainwreck

Bandwith and I made cookies this morning.
I couldn't find my bat cookie cutter, but the ghost was awfully cute.

You are prolly thinking, Gollum has conquered the cookie/icing problem, right? Tra la la.
Not a chance. Our cookies developed major hip-spread. For those who like to slow down and look at trainwrecks, here's a doozy.
The icing wouldn't thicken. Before I realized what was going on, the icing had spilled off the pan, onto my gas cooktop, then streaked across the floor.
The second batch was better.

All were edible, I'm happy to report.
