Note: This is an oldie, but I thought it would be fun to pull it out of the archives for Valentine's Day!
There's just something magical about having remembering a long-ago lunch in the sunshine. The birds twittered from trees and warm, buttery light streamed over the pasture.
When the chilly winter days close in, I always look back at this picture and remind myself that bright days will come again.
This tablescape began with a soup bowl that looked like the sun, round and yellow with a touch of minty green and red.

The pottery is "Tangier," made by Tabletops Unlimited.
The red goblets, Fostoria's "Jamestown," were wedding gifts. The napkins are dish towels. And the flatware is "Avalon." The "tablecloth" is actually a throw; and the vase was swiped from the den, complete with fake flowers, which I adore ... and always will.
A Tablescape Thursday contribution.

This would be a GREAT TT post, too! :-) This is sooo festive...I love it! Now I'm eyeing all my throws...what a great tablecloth! I love those "fake" flowers, too...never need watering and never die on ya! :-)
ReplyDeleteI'm on my way! Pretty setting, cute tablescape, and I agree - I'm a faux flower fan, too ~ Robyn

ReplyDeleteI love it G! I wish I was close by so I could pop over for lunch with you. What fun conversations we could have. They would probably consist of dish talk, but oh well.
Thanks for sharing, Barb
How pretty! Love that china -- so nice for dining al fresco. And I'm looking forward to the bigger porch project ... Algae and grime? Yummm... have we got lunch in the making?

You're new header is wonderful!

Ah, so pretty. Has kind of a south western flair in my eyes.
ReplyDeleteJustine :o )
Ok, I'll be there! I'll bring this great new drink I found this weekend.
ReplyDeleteNow that is one colorful, feast for the eye table! Love those vivid colors. Of course red has always, always been my favorite color.
ReplyDeleteNow in my world of silks, I find they are more acceptable if you use the word faux instead of fake! LOL!
Looking forward to seeing more this week.
Gollum:
ReplyDeleteI am so grateful you shared that you have winter grime. I was just asking hubby if there were any pristine yards in the world and he said No, so get over it!
I finished Crazy Ladies and it was wonderful and now I wish it was a movie. And I wish the three new books of yours I ordered would get here...
Have A Terrific Tuesday
